40 years in the kitchen.
My journey with baking began in my early teens, inspired by an aunt whose skill in the kitchen left a lasting impression on my sister and me. While we were still in primary school, she taught us how to bake a simple cake — and from that moment, I was fascinated.
As I grew older, my curiosity deepened, but without being able to afford an oven at home, my experiments had to wait. I found inspiration in small ways, like a colleague who would bring the most delicious chocolate squares, sparking my determination to one day recreate such treats.
That opportunity came after I married Logan, when I moved into a home with a fully equipped modern kitchen. With my very own Kenwood mixer and a collection of shared family recipes, I began baking in earnest. Over the years, I continued learning — even taking a pastry course alongside my sister while my children attended their extra-curricular activities — nurturing a passion that has now spanned over 40 years.

In recent years, my baking has taken a new direction as much of my family follows a vegan lifestyle. What began as a necessity became a creative challenge. With care and attention, I've discovered that well-made vegan bakes can be just as enjoyable, often indistinguishable in taste.
